the future won't stop now
[Ah, moving day. Tyler hadn't experienced this in a while, but he had meant every word he'd told Caroline, back when he had confessed how much he missed her. He and Jeremy had ironed out the details: they were home for Easter, with all that entailed, but only Jeremy would return to Savannah.
Tyler would stay here and start paralegal work for a firm in the next town over. Technically, he didn't need a job (thank you, Lockwood trust fund). But he wanted something to do, and he couldn't transfer to Whitmore mid-semester. But the trustee had spoken, and so Tyler would enroll and take summer classes to bring him up to speed (read: graduate in a semi-timely manner).
It's the day after Easter, and instead of taking a last look at Caroline's place, he's in the kitchen with what remains of a chocolate bunny. He's about to bite into the ears - his favorite part! - when he remembers, he probably should've asked.
Ah, well. He's gonna enjoy those rabbit ears, because a guy only lives twice.]
